Rome Tour - Colonna Traiana

Monument Rome: Colonna TraianaThe Trajan's column was erected inside the Trajan's forum, and represents the monument of the Dacha war won by Romans in 105 A. D. The column is formed by 19 marble blocks, and a winding staircase leads to the top. The most important part of this historical and beautiful monument is the set of figures that border it documenting arts and customs of Romans and Dachans, and the story of the fights between the two peoples. About 40 mt. high, it has a 35 mt. diameter, and on its top the Trajan's statue was placed, while the statue you can see today represents San Peter.
